GIS Mapping

Jacques Forest utilizes the latest technology in GIS (Geographical Information Systems) mapping software integrated with GPS (Global Positioning System) data collection to produce high quality accurate maps. Maps typically include attributes such as: parcel ownership, stand types, unique wildlife habitat, planned timber harvest areas, forests roads and trails, open areas, hydrological features (ponds and streams etc), structures and various other features as requested by the landowner.

In addition to creating custom maps we are able to interpret different types of geographic information made available from State and Federal organizations.  These layers include: aerial photos, land use, soils, public survey of sections and quarter sections, topographic features, lakes, rivers, streams and much more.
